Christian Hendel, 1770-76. 6 Vols., small 8vo (175 x 105 mm), 470; 424; 396; 436; 382, [2]; 538pp., numerous Ms. notes in a small neat hand to endpapers, full nineteenth-century polished calf, spines gilt tooled with morocco labels, a nice set. Provenance: From the library of Charles Butler (1821-1910), Warren Wood in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. The majority of the library was sold at Sotheby's, London, on 5 April 1911.
