Zeller's (Eduard Gottlob Zeller?) copy with his name neatly in ink to f.e.p. Text in German. In very good condition, with just a little rubbing to board edges and one major inkblot inside (contemporary to book) with no loss. Eduard Zeller was a philosopher and theologian celebrated for his monumental "Philosophy of Greeks in their Historical Development". He is regarded as the first scholar to give a satisfying account of Plotinus' philosophy. Historians of the 19th century invented the term Neoplatonism and applied it to Plotinus and his philosophy.
