(More images available on request). 220mm x 160mm (9" x 6"). 405pp. 24 hand-coloured steel-engraved plates and half-title vignette by John Leech and 'Phiz'. Surtees' last novel. Both he and his illustrator, Leech, died before publication by Bradbury and Evans. It first appeared as a 12 part serialisation in 1865 followed by publication in book form in the same year. H K Browne completed the outstanding 12 illustrations.. G: in Good condition without dust jacket. Some rubbing and wear to covers. Corners bumped. Contents clean, tight and free from foxing .

Return policy;
We run a 'no quibble' returns policy.
If we have made any error of collation or missed any significant flaw, or if we have failed to describe the condition honestly and accurately, we refund the cost of the book in full, plus the cost of outward shipping, plus the cost of your return shipping.
If you wish to return a book for any other reason, We refund the cost of the book, less a £5 handling charge. The cost of outward shipping is not refunded. The return shipping, and insurance, is at your expense.
In all cases, the returned book must be in our hands within one calendar month of the original sale, though exceptions can be made to this rule in special cases.
Any new damage suffered by the book will be charged pro-rata.
