Volume II contains details of the following Passes: The Cornice, The Grimsel and the Gries, The Bernardin and The Splugen, The Brenner, The Tendre and The Argentiere and The Simplon. Each section contains a description of the routes, 8 engraved plates including title and end vignettes and map. The Simplon section in volume II also includes a General Map of the Great Chain of the Alps. The majority of engravings are by Edward Finden from drawings by the author. Published 1828-9.. Return policy;
We run a 'no quibble' returns policy.
If we have made any error of collation or missed any significant flaw, or if we have failed to describe the condition honestly and accurately, we refund the cost of the book in full, plus the cost of outward shipping, plus the cost of your return shipping.
If you wish to return a book for any other reason, We refund the cost of the book, less a £5 handling charge. The cost of outward shipping is not refunded. The return shipping, and insurance, is at your expense.
In all cases, the returned book must be in our hands within one calendar month of the original sale, though exceptions can be made to this rule in special cases.
Any new damage suffered by the book will be charged pro-rata.
