Drawn coloured coat of arms of Ruysch. Size: 70 x 30 mm.Among the members of the Ruysch family is Rachel (1664-1750), an accomplished and brilliant painter of flowers still-lives. Curiously, her father Frederik Ruysch (1638-1731) was a botanist and anatomist.It is also quite remarkable that the father of Rachel's mom, Maria Post, was the famous architect Pieter Post (1608-1669) who designed, among others, Huis ten Bosch and the Mauritshuis in The Hague.
