Spine & dentelles gilt (spine gilt flaked and hinges rubbed but covers well attached, corners worn). All edges sprinkled blue. Bookplate of John Blackburne Esq, Orford. Titlepage + contents +267pp. Title continues "from the Time of Columbus to the Present Period." Four voyages include journal of an employee of the North Sea Company of Copenhagen, the Jesuits Le Compte & Du Halde in China, Sir John Chardin travelling into Persia and finally John Thevenot from Italy to Constantinople. Some minor foxing, mostly to the plates but a neat tight copy of one of the 25 volumes making up the set, perhaps the most interesting volume in the set.
