A magazine designed for young people with short stories, bible passages, poems, songs and informational pieces Most articles with a Christian spiritual or moral message, others educational and covering a variety of subjects including architecture, geography, history and other cultures. Illustrated throughout with plates, maps and wood-cuts. In half calf bindings. Externally, sound with some rubbing and bumping. Joints starting but still reasonably firm. Ink inscription to front free-endpaper of 1837 with loss to rear endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages generally bright with patches of spotting.
