HB. 8 vols, 4to, later brown half morocco, minor scuffing to extremities, raised bands to spines, leather title pieces, marbled edges and endpapers, orig. wrappers retained to Vol. VII and VIII. Occasional neat marginal pencil annotations to a few volumes. Good. Withdrawn from the library of the Natural History Museum with a few neat ink stamps. Small ink-stamped letters to the margins in Vol. I, II & beginning of III, indicate in which departmental library of the museum the listed works were held. A pencil note to endpaper states, 'Librarian's Room', and these volumes originated from the Palaeontology library.. Main catalogue: Vol. I-V, Supplements: Vol. VI-VIII. A bibliography of natural history publications held by the library of the British Museum (Natural History).
