Bust portrait of William IV, Prince of Orange and Nassau (1711-1751). Slightly turned to left, but looking at the viewer, wearing armour with insignia of the Order of the Garter, a sash and a powdered wig; with oval medaillion frame; a helmet, sword, a Dutch flag and a coat of arms in the foreground. The portrait is a copy after the painting by Jacques André Joseph Camelot Aved in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, inv.no.SK-A-880.Within inscribed oval frame.Inscription on the plynth below: Willem Carel hendrik friso Prince van Orang. en Nassau.Signed at bottom: Aved pictor R. gallia Christmi. pinxit / Balechou sculpsit.Collector's mark on verso: Dom.
