On the top left the title: 'DE PURMER Gemeten ende getee-kent door M.r Lucas Jansen Sinck Anno 1622.'This plate is a portion of a larger impression with maps of other polders and was used in Henricus Hondius’ ‘Atlantis maioris appendix, sive pars altera’ published in Amsterdam in 1631. Engraving on paper; total: 185 x 172 mm; on verso text in letterpress; in very good condition.
