The Turkish island of Chustan (Keustan) in the Gulf of Smyrna was occupied by the Royal Navy in 1916 and renamed Long Island. Lt. Commander H. Pirie-Gordon was placed in control as civil administrator and stamps were issued on May 7th, 1916. The island is now known as Uzun Ada.
