A Times Literary Supplement reviewer described The Green Man as "three genres of novel in one": ghost story, moral fable, and comic novel. The novel reflects Amis's willingness to experiment with genre novels. In a blue cloth binding with original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. Some light bumping, and slight discolouration to the boards. Dustwrapper is quite smart, though with some sunning to the spine, some small closed tears, and a few instances of foxing. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright, though with some scattered instances of foxing. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good/Very Good Indeed.
