With publisher's catalogues to the rear of two volumes. William Wymark Jacobs (8 September 1863 – 1 September 1943), was an English author of short stories and novels. Although much of his work was humorous, he is most famous for his horror story 'The Monkey's Paw&apos. In orange cloth bindings. Externally, sound. Some bumping and slight wear to the extremities (heavier to Night Watches). Ex-libris bookplate of Harold Claughton to front pastedown of Light Frieghts. Internally, generally firmly bound, although Light Freights is a little strained in places. Pages are bright, with just some scattered instances of foxing. Good . Ill.: Will Owen; Stanley Davis.
