Bound in leather with gilt lettering and spine decoration. The Second Edition, Corrected and Enlarged. Little is known about the poet John Boyd Greenshields. He was possibly a wealthy Edinburgh advocate who married Jane Boyd, heiress to a Dunbartonshire estate, and adopted her name as an additional surname. The poem Selim and Zaida is often attributed to him. Bound in leather with gilt lettering and spine decoration. There is mild wear to the extremities, including mild rubbing. The front hinge is just starting but still firm. The binding is tight and firm. Internally the pages are bright with light scattered background foxing or handling marks. With a pictorial nameplate to the front pastedown. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good .
