This work is a biography of Colonel James Gardiner (1688-1745), a Scottish soldier who fought in the British Army duing the 1745 Jacobite rising. Front board is nearly detached and is held loosely by one cord only. Rear joint is weak. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with some browning to edges here and there.
