Published anonymously, this charming volume is "A tale founded on facts intended as a Christmas Box for those who wish to begin the New Year without her." A lovely rebound copy of this scarce work. Rebound in a contemporary half straight grain morocco binding with marbled boards. Externally, a trifle rubbed with wear and loss to the extremities and spine. Front hinge is tender. Internally, generally firmly bound, although with some leaves working slightly loose, and lacking the original frontispiece. Some spotting and handling marks. Good Only . Ill.: None. Good Only .
