Illustrated with sixty-four engraved portrait plates by Edward Scriven. The memoirs provide details of the licentious court of Charles II of which Philibert, comte de Gramont was a part. Includes a biographical sketch of Count Hamilton and a translation of the epistle to Count Grammont. Complete in two volumes. In a morocco binding with gilt detailing to boards. Externally, sound with marks to boards and rubbing to corners. Bumping to heads of spine with head of backstrip lifting on volume one and closed tear to head of spine on volume two. Internally, firmly bound with light foxing to first few pages and scattered spotting throughout. Good . Ill.: Edward Scriven. Good .
