A volume containing the minutes of evidence taken before the commissioners of education in England between the years 1859 and 1860. The commission investigated the state of popular education in England. In a half calf binding with marbled paper covered boards. Externally, worn with slight splitting to rear joint and an institutional label to rear board. Internally, firmly bound.
