London, Blackie and Son, 1903. Leather. A uncommon edition of Dinah Craik's John Halifax, Gentleman. With plates throughout, the work contains the embossed insignia of the Ashville College of Harrogate, awarding the book to one G.S. Marshall in 1915. In calf binding with gilt detailing. Externally sound, there is wear to the extremities, joints, boards and backstrip, with slight cracking to joint. Hinges tender. Internally, the pages are firmly bound and are bright and clean throughout, aside from some light spotting to endpages. Good Only . Ill.: None. Good Only .
