William Herbert (12 January 1778 – 28 May 1847) was a British botanist, botanical illustrator, poet, and clergyman. He served as a Member of Parliament for Hampshire from 1806 to 1807, and for Cricklade from 1811 to 1812. With extensive notes to rear, as well as two further poems; "Song of Vala" and "Brynhilda". In a half calf binding with marbled boards. Externally, a trifle rubbed with wear to extremities. One corner of rear board is significantly bumped. Joints beginning to crack very slightly. Internally, firmly bound, generally bright though foxed. Ink numbering to front pastedown. Front free endpaper starting. Good Only . Ill.: None. Good Only .
