Leopold Hartley Grindon (28 March 1818 – 1904) was an educator and botanist. He was a pioneer in the sphere of adult education. His collection of plants, related botanical drawings and writings, formed one of the principal assets of the herbarium at Manchester Museum at the time of its foundation in 1860. In a green half calf leather binding with green cloth covered boards. Externally, generally smart, lightly rubbed in places. There is some minor loss to the leather. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean. There is a large bookplate to the front pastedown. There is a bookseller's label to the rear pastedown. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good .
