Charles Godfrey Leland (1824 – 1903) was an American humorist and folklorist. Brand-New Ballads was the sequel to his hugely successful Hans Breitmann Ballads, being amusing poems written in a terrible German accent. Scarce. In a full morocco binding with the original card wraps bound in. Externally, a little marked here and there but otherwise generally smart with a little edgewear only.
