Lodewijk Schelfhout (1881–1943) was a pioneering Dutch artist, celebrated as the first Cubist in the Netherlands. Influenced by Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso, Schelfhout adopted Cubism around 1913, blending its fragmented geometric forms with his unique interpretation. Initially trained as a landscape painter, his works transitioned from traditional styles to abstract compositions, often depicting urban scenes and still lifes. He was a member of the Hollandsche Kunstenaarskring and contributed significantly to the Dutch avant-garde. Overseas postage will be sent by airmail if you select priority and surface if you select standard postage.
Surface mail to the United States or Canada can take up to six weeks, and up to twelve weeks to Australia and New Zealand.

Payment can be made by paypal to tywynbooks@yahoo.co.uk or via cheque in UK funds drawn on a UK bank to Literary Cat Books.
We can also accept money orders in pound sterling made payable to Literary Cat Books.

Returns Policy:
We make every effort to describe each book or print accurately. However, we accept that an item might not prove to be as you expected it, or has been damaged in transport.
We therefore accept returns within 14 days of receipt of the item, upon prior notification. We will provide a full refund upon receipt of the returned item by us.
