Manuscript on parchment, total 23 x 31 cm. Used document with signs of wear, small holes in the text and on the right side a part missing. Signed ter ordonnantie van de Staten.Statement that the cities and villages can diminish their contribution to the costs for the army if they can proof that they supported the soldiers.In the text:De ridderschap, edelen ende steden van Hollant ende Westvrieslandt....en dienste en defensie vanden lande, commissaris van monsteringe, volck van oorloge in diligentie, dorpen ofte plaetzen van huizen, ontfanger, gedaen in den Haege, onder t zegel van de Staten.[NL] Een met de hand op perkament geschreven verklaring van de Ridderschap, Edelen en Steden van Holland en West-Friesland, dat de steden en dorpen hun bijdrage in de kosten van het leger kunnen verminderen als zij kunnen aantonen oorlogsvolk te hebben onderhouden. Geschreven in Den Haag op 24 januari 1590.
