Halftitle and first few and last few pages with some foxing. *Story of a young man who is accused of stealing from his workplace and flees to London when his boss tells him that if he doesn't confess he will denounce him to the police.Living in poverty in London he saves a young girl from being trampled by a house but is hurt in the accident himself. He father is a doctor and in gratitude for his gallant rescue of the girl he takes him into his home.Meanwhile the stolen money is found to have been squirreled away by the office mice and the truth is disclosed to everyone's satisfaction.
