Two large separate colour illustrated fold out maps Illustrated frontispiece of the New Country Offices in Chester with sixty illustrated plates and maps throughout. The County Palatine of Chester was a predominantly agricultural county who were recommended by the Scott Committee to give an uplift to rural life and the prosperity of rural communities. The work is split into three parts: the determining factors, including problems with industry, housing and public services, the plan with means and finally the individual proposals. In a cloth binding with original unclipped dustwrapper in a brodart wrap. Externally, generally smart with some bumping to head and tail of spine. Small patch of dampstaining of front board corner. Dustwrapper is sound with some chipping to board edges and closed tears to base of both boards. Marks to rear board of dustwrapper. internally, firmly bound with pages bright and clean.
