London , Oliver and Boyd, 1933. Cloth. A detailed History of the University of Edinburgh. With an engraved frontispiece, illustration to the title-page and photographs and illustrations throughout. The University of Edinburgh is the sixth oldest university in the English speaking world and an important institution in Scottish history. In a blue cloth binding with gilt decoration to the front board and gilt lettering to the spine. Externally, very smart with just some minor shelfwear only. There is some slight damage to the top and tail of the spine. Internally, generally firmly bound. Front hinge is tender. Foxed and browned to first and last few pages but otherwise fairly clean throughout. There is some off-setting from newspaper cut-outs loosely inserted in to the title-page and pages 14-5, 84-5. There is an ink inscription to the recto of front free-end paper, dated 1933 Good . Ill.: None. Good .
