Publisher's full blue cloth binding with gilt titles to spine and black titles to front board. As summarised in the works preface, "The extracts gathered in this book include comments on Edinburgh from that of Ptolemy in the second century to that of King George V. in the twentieth." A collection of prose and poetry edited by the writer Rosaline Masson. Masson was a prolific writer of both fiction and non-fiction, with her work ranging from novels, to biographies, to histories. The binding is tight and firm and both covers are firmly attached. There is some minor wear to the extremities including some staining to the boards and some darkening to the spine. Internally the book is generally clean and bright apart from some mild spots in places. The pages have rough cut edges. There is an ownership plate to the front pastedown. Good . Ill.: None. Good .
