George Alfred Henty (8 December 1832 – 16 November 1902), was a prolific English novelist and a special correspondent. He is best known for his historical adventure stories that were popular in the late 19th century. Previous owner's ink inscription to one front free endpaper. In pictorial cloth covered bindings. Externally, sound though worn. Internally, generally firmly bound, though frontis is missing and one plate is detached but present to one volume, and one page of text is detached but present to a second volume. Remains of paper to pastedowns of one volume, and front free endpaper missing. Generally bright with occasional spots and marks. Good Only . Ill.: None. Good Only .
