This work comprises of a selection of facsimiles reproducing elegies from 17th century newspapers. The facsimiles are then reproduced in plain text on the opposite page. Arranged and reproduced by John W Draper. In a quarter cloth binding with gilt stamping to spine. Held in original dustwrapper. Externally, very smart. Slight bumping to the extremities and to the head and tail of spine. Dustwrapper is very age toned. Minor chipping to the extremities and to the head and tail of spine. Age toned most to the spine. Closed tear to the spine at title. Loss to joints of wrap due to chipping. Some tape repairs to the internals of wrap at the hinges. Evidence of bookplate removal to the recto of front endpaper.
