Cambridge, John W. Parker, 1837. Cloth. A copy of Henry Howarth's Eight Discourses from the private collection of noted Theologian and Professor of Philosophy, David Arthur Pailin. According to the title-page, Henry Howarth had been a fellow of St John"s College, Cambridge. Rebound in brown buckram with gilt lettering on spine. Externally, very smart. Some minor shelfwear only. Front hinge is strained. There is a library stamp of "Union Society" on the title-page and p. 103. Ink inscription to title page. There is a David Arthur Pailin bookplate on the front pastedown, dated 1985. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are slightly foxed and browned. Some pages are missing. Very Good . Ill.: None.
