 1569616537,
London, J. F. Ward, 1935. Hardback. A scarce and copiously illustrated copy of this charming children's tale of a small pink pig who doesn't like his curly tail. This work was written and illustrated Alf Evers and his wife Helen Evers, nee Dean Bryant. Alf Evers was an American historian who notably wrote lengthy and definitive histories of the Catskills and Woodstock. His wife Helen was a renowned illustrator, and the pair collaboratively wrote and illustrated over fifty children's books together. Many of these works were re-telling of well-known fables, recounted in a simple prose style. Copiously illustrated throughout with coloured illustrations. In a decorative paper binding. Externally, sound with slight rubbing. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean with some coloured pencil marks throughout. Very Good . Ill.: Helen Evers; Alf Evers.
