Along with Caspar David Friedrich, he is considered one of the two most prominent German artists of the 19th century, snd was the most successful artist of his era in Germany. This is the ninth edition. In a calf leather binding with marbled paper boards. There is gilt decoration to the boards and spine and a contrasting label with gilt lettering to the spine.
