Carrel was a renowned surgeon and biologist, who, like many intellectuals of his day, believed in the use of eugenics as a means to further society. His latter years were plighted by accusations of Nazi sympathy. In paper boards with brodart wrapper. Externally smart, there is some rubbing to the extremities.
