Good hardback . 1911 new impression with numerous colour and B&W illustrations - 8 colour plates checked and all present; frontispiece (Plate 1) has yellowed tissue covering. Tightly bound in slightly marked red cloth with gilt lettering to spine and gilt illustrations to front; spine browned and foxed; a little fading to top edge; light wear to edges and corners. Top page fore-edge gilded; other fore-edges yellowed. Internally, endpapers yellowed with a little foxing; some discolouration marks on other pages; owner's inscription on title page; also, gift inscription on verso of Front free endpaper; otherwise, a good, readable copy.
