Good hardback in Fair dust jacket . 1950 1st edition with B&W illustrations by Eileen Soper; tightly bound in discoloured (especially front panel) red cloth with black lettering to front and spine. Dust jacket not price-clipped and protected by removable clear film; wear, tear and losses to edges and corners; back panel sellotaped to rest of DJ; foxing on all DJ surfaces. Light discolouration to page fore-edges and paste-downs. Internally, a few small discolouration spots but pages generally bright; owner's address on half title and gift inscription on facing page; otherwise, a good, clean copy.
