Good hardback (no dust jacket) . 2nd reprint, 1941. 1940 1st edition had a colour frontis; no sign that this copy ever had one so presumably reprints were issued without the frontis. Blue cloth with gilt; illustrations by E.Wilson & Joyce Davies. A few spots of foxing on page fore-edge; text clean; tip corner of front free end paper torn off.
