Smith, Elder & Co, 1878. Used - Acceptable. Fair hardbacks . Two volumes: vol. I dated 1886; vol. II dated 1890. Marbled boards worn around edges, with red cloth binding and gilt writing on black title boxes on spines. Both spines darkened, with small white writing near foot. Vol. I has some surface loss at spine foot. Volume II has some loss to marbling paper on front board where it overlaps the cloth. Small annotation on both front free endpapers. Owner’s name and small scribbles on front pastedown of Vol. II. On both volumes, edges and endpapers browned and foxed, hinges cracked and repaired.
