He wrote of. the historic Brandywine countryside, "Never have I appreciated nature as I have in this place.this is a country full of restraints. Everything lies in its subtleties, everything is so gentle and simple, so unaffected." He married, settled in Chadds Ford, raised a family, and within a decade had established himself among America's foremost illustrators. The museum received gifts from the Wyeth family of N.C. Wyeth's house and studio and their contents. Beautiful collection of Wyeth and his family's paintings as they appear in the Museum. Owner name front endpaper.
