Gives his views, often original and always informed, of their stature as politicians, reflects on the shifting patterns of power, the total eclipse of Whiggers, the rise of the Labour Party and trade unions, the role of women in politics, the fate of coalitions in Britain. Lively and informal book, illustrated with many photos of persons and events, illuminated by the author's wisdom, wit. and deep knowledge of the subject. Slight wear.
