Morison, B. J. (Betty Jane), - The Voyage of the Chianti: a little Maine murder.

Thorndike, ME, North Country Press, (1987). VG in VG DJ. 12 yr old Elizabeth has wrangled herself a passage from Boston to Mount Desert Island aboard the Chianti, a luxury yacht owned. by her grandmother's neighbor, an aging gentleman who has assembled a motley crew including a Cockney gambler, a tipsy author, her overanxious editor, an obnoxious 16 yr old granddaughter, and various relations and hangers-on. Soon accident and death on board unleash a torrent of fear and recriminations, and Elizabeth is faced with too many suspects, motives, and too little opportunity in this lockd door drama. Morison, with a keen eye for detail and ear for the foibles of the upper class, lives in Bar Harbor, Maine, where she spends her summers operating the famed Criterion Theatre, an Art Deco show place. DJ slight edge wear.
