The hand wood-working tools here evoke a time when crafts were practiced at a slower, more careful pace,. during long-houred working days (1700-1900). In the Pacific Northwest many of the tools were brought in by the early settlers & immigrants. In the latter half of the 19th century, many settlers came directly from the British Isles & Northern Europe. Usual library markings.
