HARDCOVER, bound in contemporary full calf, gilt spine with raised bands, gilt morocco lettering-piece, marbled endpapers; bit rubbed at extremities and corner-tips, slight cracking at gutter margin after first free endpaper, small piece cut off bottom of blank free endpaper; small wormhole to last plate, only slightly affecting edge of image (see photo), expanding to a larger hole on two adjoining leaves (one is Index) with loss of a few words. In a very good condition, still in first binding, preserved in the original state with ample margins, excellent strikes of the plates. ~ FIRST EDITION. Complete with all the wonderful plates.
