Goethe's drama Egmont, set in the Netherlands in 1566 during the rebellion againt Spain. This is a reprint after volume three of "Goethe's Schriften" (1787-1791) in four volumes, published by Goeschen. With the portrait engraved by Georg Christoph Friedrich Oberkogler (1774-1858) who was mainly active in Zurich. - Somewhat browned, some light spots to frontispiece. - Hagen 192.
