Orig. cloth, gilt Royal coat of arms on covers (spines slightly faded). London, (Walter Lewis at the Cambridge University Press, for) Maggs Bros., 1929-35. One of 650 copies on antique paper, of a total edition of 698. A catalogue raisonné of the Royal Portuguese collection. Volume I covers the period 1489-1539, volume II 1540-1569, volume III 1570-1600 and supplement 1500-1597. More than 400 books are described in detail both in English and Portuguese. With a text by Aubrey F. G. Bell "H.M. King Manuel II", and by Stanley Morison "The King and his books".
