Uncut, crisp copy in contemporary marbled wrappers, worn, most of spine detached, internally fine. First edition based on Jacob Golius famous "Lexicon Arabico-Latinum" (1653) which was the standard for 150 years until Freytag's dictionary appeared. Jacob's brother Everard Scheidius, professor of oriental languages at Harderwijk, assisted in this work and in 1768 acquired the Arabic types from Leiden. Schnurrer 107. Smitskamp PO 315.
