The gilt lettering and florets to the front board are bright and unmarred; similarly the gilt spine lettering is bright although there is a small (1/4 inch) split to the cloth at the top of the spine. Internally, the book is clean and tight, with no former owner's markings. Overall, in very good condition. With 37 full page plates, and many illustrations in the text. Printed by the Chiswick Press. .
