Softcover, bound in stapled printed cream wraps, titled in blue with the seal of New York on the front cover and illustrations of the front & back of the "Sesquicentennial Medal" portrayed in blue on the rear cover. The covers are soiled, stained and foxed with light wear to the head and tail of the spine. 86 pages, with 17 pages of illustrations, mostly full-page. Also illustrated with a map of Kingston in 1777 on the recto of the rear cover. The top of the covers has pulled away from the rusted staple, though still attached at the bottom. The bottom front corner of the first few pages are slightly creased. Good. In addition to his historical introductory essay "The Establishment of the State of New York / Kingston in 1777", New York's State Historian Alexander Clarence Flick has also contributed an 11-page play "The Birth of New York State: Historical Drama", which is here published on pages 35 through 55. Good .
