The first edition in book form, first published in the 'G.I.P. Railway Magazine&apos. Bound in modern cloth, with the publisher's original paper wraps bound in to the front and rear. Illustrated with and illustrated title page and fifty-two pages of cartoon line drawings by William Henry Deakin. Collated, complete. A very scarce collection of cartoons from William Henry Deakin, written and illustrated under the pen name 'Jo Hookm', which he also used while creating cartoons for various railway periodicals. The cartoons tell humorous stories of a fictional railway system.Ads to the front and rear. Bound in modern cloth, with the publisher's original paper wraps bound in to the front and rear. Externally lovely. Internally firmly bound with archival tape re-enforcements to the extremities of several pages, loss to the bound in cover to the rear, pages generally bright and clean with only the odd spot and a closed tear to an ad to the rear.
