The Shakespeare Head edition.  A limited edition of seven hundred and fifty copies printed and seven hundred and twenty copies for sale. Bound in half calf with gilt details to the spine by Bayntun, with their binder"s signature to the front blanks. A fourteen volume, complete set. This set features a collection of works by Daniel Defoe, the English novelist best known for his exciting adventure novel, Robinson Crusoe. This set includes; 'Robinson Crusoe' volumes I, II, and III', 'Memoirs of a Cavalier', 'The Shortest Way With The Dissenters, and Other Pamphlets', 'Journal of the Plague Year', 'A Plan of the English Commerce', 'Captain Singleton', 'Roxana' volumes I and II, 'The Fortunes and Misfortunes of the Famous Moll Flanders' volumes I and II, and 'Colonel Jack' volumes I and II.  Bound in half calf with cloth to the boards. Externally sound with rubbing to the joints and extremities with joints starting to most and tender to four volumes, closed tears and wear to the leather to the head and tail of the spines, with loss to the heads of a number of volumes.
